Shaylee Emerald Fairy Necklace

The inspiration for this necklace came from a small Celtic knot work ornament in the Book of Kells. The hand-sculpted sterling silver wire work centerpiece seems to me to have taken on the appearance of a fairy in the abstract so I named this necklace Shaylee after the mythological fairy princess of the fields in Irish folklore. To represent the lush, verdant fields of Shaylee's Emerald Isle kingdom, the centerpiece is adorned with a natural three-carat emerald captured within a netted bezel. The emerald is a translucent deep green and appears to glow in the light. I added white pearls to the centerpiece for accent and a white pearl teardrop to adorn the end of the sterling silver rolo chain. The centerpiece was made entirely by hand using various gauges of sterling silver wire.

Length: This necklace adjusts from 19-20 inches (48-51 cm), but the length can be adjusted to suit.
